Is It Okay to Sleep in a Thong? Here’s What You Need to Know

Even though I’ve gotten feedback that our thongs are genuinely comfortable enough to sleep in… you really shouldn’t. At night, your body needs to breathe. Tight fabrics — especially those with synthetics — can trap heat and moisture, which isn’t great for your skin or your sleep quality. I truly believe that what you wear to bed is one of the most overlooked aspects of good sleep.

I always say that sleeping naked is the best option. But not everyone enjoys that — and that’s okay. The next best thing is wearing something loose and breathable, like cotton or silk. Silk is naturally thermoregulating, so you’re less likely to overheat or feel chilly during the night.

That’s the philosophy behind all of our sleepwear — and it’s also true for our silk French knickers. They’re designed to be extra flowy, with a wider-than-usual gusset for comfort, and the only elastic is in the waistband, which never digs in. I genuinely forget I’m wearing them when I sleep. They feel like nothing at all — just silky softness against the skin.

Choosing the right piece for sleep isn’t just about comfort — it’s about caring for your body and your rest. Natural, breathable fabrics and relaxed fits make a subtle but meaningful difference, night after night.
